El Fogon

El Fogon is authentic Mexican food in Playa del Carmen. The restaurant's specialty is Pastor. Pastor (slow roasted pork) is not available legally in restaurants in the United States because it is not cooked at a high enough temperature. However, in Mexico, this is not an issue. At El Fogon, you can get a pastor taco for the US equivalent of 50 cents. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced. Four people can leave completely stuffed for less than 30 USD (total!!!!).
